Association of Plan for the Land held “No Plastic Day’ with cooperation of Tehran Municipal Environmental Commission on 12 July 2013.
In this program, 40 experts from Association of Plan for the Land with aim of Sensitization to use of plastic bags in some Shahrvand store branches like Farmanieh, Jalal, Sadeghieh, Boostan, Khani abad, Shahr e rey, Beyhaghi and Behrood attempted education to citizens.
The aims of this program was emphasis the role of citizens and create a vision for changing consumption patterns and reduce the use of plastic bags and disposable plastic containers in Shahrvand stores.
This was the second year that citizens by environment and sustainable development commission of Tehran municipal educated face to face in Shahrvad stores.
Offering solutions to reduce plastic wastes production, introducing kinds of reuse bags, provide environmental information to citizens about hazards of plastic usage, distribute of program brochures and cooperation to provide Shahrvand cloth bags was the association s experts activity in this program.
Also, some days before that program the association launched a campaign on internet about this occur.
Welcoming Shahrvand store managers and also visitors from those programs was the strength of this activity.
According on implementation responsible report, people interested to cloth bags and education in this regards in Khani abad and Shahr e rey branches was more than the other branches.
