On the occasion of Kids national week, students of Tehran Adaptive and International school who were in 7-12 age group got familiar with Tehran’s birds with their teachers through doing various educational activities in the form of watching structure of bird’s feather, making handcrafts, and playing different games. The first-day festival was held on 14th of October 2015 in the mail hall in Tehran Adaptive and International School by Plan for the Land Society and the sponsorship of Lufthansa Airline Co.
Understanding of concepts such as importance of different kinds of birds and their main parts (feather, beak, wing, their feeding,…) were educational parts of the festival which was presented in the form of interesting games.
Children made handcrafts (Origami) considering conservation of bird concept. In this part facilitators tried to explain features of migratory birds such as crane while they were teaching efficient use of paper.
At the end students received gifts from Lufthansa Airline Co and experienced happy moments in that one-day event.
