“The introduction to the participatory approach and strategies in education” workshops (Learning process) was held from 19th – 22th of January 2016 for environmental NGOs and from 23th – 24th of January 2016 for educational experts and grass root participation office and governmental offices in Bari resort _ Urmia.
The workshop was designed by Mr. Babak Mousavi Nejad for the purpose of introduction to participatory approach in education especially in environmental projects and its relation with the effectiveness of the projects and was conducted by Plan for the Land Society and in cooperation with “Conservation of Iranian wetland project”.
Concepts such as introduction to the general principles of participatory approach, introduction to the concepts and principles of participation in the education and taking roles in a participatory learning process ( facilitator vs educator), differences between teaching approach vs learning approach (teaching – facilitation), future challenges to follow participatory methods in education were discussed and practiced during the workshop.
